Artichoke and Tuna Macaroni Casserole

Take this list with you to any of our 8 supermarkets:
  • 3 Cans
    Airone Tonno All’Olio Di Oliva
  • 500 Grams
    Curled Macaroni
  • 1
    Small Onion
  • 10
    Fillets Anchovies
  • 1½ Cup
    Artichoke Hearts (fresh or in brine)
  • 2 Tablespoons
    Capers, rinsed
  • ¾ Cups
    Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1½ Teaspoon
    Lemon Zest
  • Fresh Parsley
  • Salt and Pepper


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Lightly oil a casserole dish. Cook the pasta half way through for only about 5 minutes and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking.

  2. In a food processor, blend the onion, anchovies, artichoke hearts and capers until smooth. Add the Parmesan, season with pepper and transfer to a bowl. Gently stir in the tuna (with its oil), lemon zest, parsley and eventually the cooked pasta.

  3. Pour the pasta mixture into the dish, sprinkle the breadcrumbs on top and drizzle with olive oil. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake until lightly browned. Serve after it was left to stand for 15 minutes.
