Vegan Bean Burger

Ingredients

Take this list with you to any of our 8 supermarkets:
  • 2 Cans
    Carrefour Giant Beans
  • 1
    Bay Leaf
  • 5 Teaspoons
    Salt
  • ¼ Cups
    Carrefour Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2
    Onions, peeled and sliced
  • ½ Cups
    Roasted Garlic Puree
  • 3 Teaspoons
    Ground Cumin
  • 1 Tablespoon
    Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon
    Chipotle Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon
    Worcestershire
  • 1½ Cup
    Cooked Brown Rice
  • 1 Cup
    Panko Breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Bring the beans, bay leaf and black pepper to a simmer in a large pot, and cook the until completely tender, then season with salt. Let the beans sit for about ten minutes in the seasoned water, then drain.

  2. In a pan, cook the onions in the olive oil until they are slightly caramelised.

  3. In a large bowl, mix the beans together all the ingredients, except for the breadcrumbs. Transfer to a food processor and blend. Then add the breadcrumbs.

  4. Divide the burger mix into patties and fry in a pan or oven.

  5. Serve with the caramelised onions in a burger.
